Kia Sp Concept Price
Prices of the Kia SP based SUV will fall in the range of Rs 9.50 lakh – Rs 17 lakh.
Kia SP concept was first previewed at the Delhi Auto Expo in February last year. The Korean carmaker's first product for India will be based on the SP concept. While the official name of the vehicle will be announced near its launch, the carmaker has confirmed that it will go on sale in July, 2019.
Kia Motors recently commenced trial production at its newly established Anantapur based plant in Andhra Pradesh. At the inaugural event, the carmaker revealed that prices of the Kia SP based SUV will start from Rs 9.50 lakh and go up to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). In the premium SUV space, Kia's first car will go up against the Hyundai Creta and the newly-launched Nissan Kicks.

Currently, the Hyundai Creta comes in the price range of Rs 9.50 lakh – Rs 15.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Nissan Kicks, on the other hand, is made available between Rs 9.55 lakh – Rs 14.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
That means, the top-spec variant of the Kia SP based SUV will be more expensive than the Creta and Kicks' range-topping trims. In terms of pricing, the Kia SP based SUV will also give a tough fight to the Tata Harrier that costs between Rs 12.69 lakh – Rs 16.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Interestingly, the Kia SP based SUV shares its platform with the Creta and makes use of a new 1.5L diesel engine. Reports suggest that the production-ready version of the SP could be named Tusker or Trazor.
